The Indian Army on Thursday released a new video to mark the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, one of India’s biggest military actions against terrorism.
The video praised the success of the operation and repeated India’s firm stand against terrorism. It declared that “India will track, identify and punish terrorists and their backers”.
India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of May 7, 2025. During the operation, Indian forces targeted nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The military action came after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. Pakistan-backed terrorists attacked a tourist spot in Kashmir and killed 26 Indian citizens.
Video Highlights India’s Resolve Against Terrorism
The Army’s video begins with Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the nation after the attack.
In the clip, Modi says, “India will identify, track and eliminate terrorists and their backers,” while describing it as the country’s “national resolution”.
The video also revisits the tragic scenes from the Pahalgam attack and lists the nine terror camps that Indian forces targeted during Operation Sindoor.
It further shows visuals of military planning and combat operations carried out during the four-day military confrontation between India and Pakistan.
The footage includes visuals of Pakistani military targets that India struck during the brief conflict.

PM Modi Repeats Strong Message
The video ends with another speech by Modi, where he underlined India’s strong policy against terrorism and Pakistan.
“Terror and talks cannot go together, terror and trade can’t go together, and water and blood cannot flow together,” the prime minister said while referring to India’s suspension of the Indus Water Treaty.
India Marks Anniversary of Operation Sindoor
Earlier in the day, the Indian Air Force also shared a video on social media carrying the message “India forgives nothing".
Interestingly, the Indian Army uploaded its video at exactly 1:05 am on May 7, the same time when Operation Sindoor had begun a year earlier.
According to reports, Indian forces completed strikes on all nine terror camps within 25 minutes.
The operation targeted terror infrastructure linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen. Reports stated that more than 100 terrorists were killed during the strikes.
The casualties reportedly included 10 relatives of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.
Operation Sindoor Widely Praised
Operation Sindoor triggered strong retaliation from Pakistan soon after the strikes. However, Indian forces reportedly blocked those attempts and launched counterattacks targeting Pakistani airbases and military installations.
Since then, defence experts across the world have praised the operation for its speed, accuracy and strategic execution.
Today, Operation Sindoor is widely seen as one of India’s most successful military operations against terrorism.
