Missile Hits Multiple Targets Successfully
The trial demonstrated India’s capability to strike several strategic targets simultaneously using a single missile system. The MIRV-equipped missile released multiple payloads aimed at different targets during the mission.
The advanced missile system has been developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratories with support from industries across the country.
Tracking Systems Monitored Entire Mission
According to an official statement, multiple ground-based and ship-based tracking systems monitored the missile throughout the test flight.
“The telemetry and tracking was carried out by multiple ground and ship-based stations. These systems tracked the entire missile trajectory from lift-off till the impact of all payloads. Flight data confirmed that all mission objectives were met during the trial," the statement said.
The successful mission confirmed that all technical and operational objectives were achieved during the test.
Rajnath Singh Calls It Major Boost To Defence
Reacting to the successful trial, Rajnath Singh said the new capability would significantly strengthen India’s defence preparedness against emerging threats.
“This will add an incredible capability to the country’s defence preparedness against the growing threat perceptions," Rajnath Singh said.
The successful test is being seen as a major step forward in strengthening India’s strategic deterrence and long-range missile capability.
