Trump Says Epstein File Release Won’t Satisfy ‘Troublemakers’
Trump backed releasing Epstein grand jury records but claimed critics would never be satisfied, even as the Justice Department sought court approval to unseal them.

US President Donald Trump addressed growing demands to release grand jury records related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell on Saturday. Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump argued that even if courts approve their release, critics would still not be satisfied.

“It will always be more, more, more. MAGA!” Trump posted, calling his critics “troublemakers and radical left lunatics.”

Justice Department Seeks Court Permission

Trump’s statement came after the Department of Justice requested federal judges to unseal the grand jury testimonies. The Justice Department acted in response to Trump’s own public directive, issued on Thursday, where he asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to release “any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval.”

By Friday, the Justice Department formally asked the courts to approve the release.

Public and Political Pressure Mounts

Calls to release Epstein-related files are growing louder. Interestingly, even some of Trump’s long-time supporters are now demanding transparency. Epstein, who died in 2019 while facing federal child sex trafficking charges, remains a source of public suspicion and conspiracy theories.

Although Trump’s latest post signals that he feels pressured, he made it clear that he doubts releasing the files will end the criticism. He wrote, “I have asked the Justice Department to release all Grand Jury testimony with respect to Jeffrey Epstein, subject only to Court Approval.”

However, he also stressed that “even if the Court gave its full and unwavering approval, nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics making the request.”

Trump Shifts from ‘Pertinent’ to ‘All’ Testimony

Notably, Trump’s Saturday message slightly changed from his earlier statement. On Thursday, he asked for the release of only “pertinent” testimony. But by Saturday, he called for the release of “all” grand jury testimony, suggesting a broader scope.

Defamation Lawsuit Against Murdoch and The Wall Street Journal

Trump’s Saturday post also came just one day after he filed a major lawsuit. On Friday, Trump sued media mogul Rupert Murdoch and The Wall Street Journal. The lawsuit concerns a story claiming Trump sent a “bawdy” birthday letter to Epstein for his 50th birthday. Trump denied writing such a letter and is seeking at least $10 billion in damages.

While Trump publicly supports releasing Epstein’s grand jury testimony, he insists critics will remain unsatisfied no matter what. Meanwhile, legal and political battles around Epstein’s case continue to intensify.
