Vivek Ramaswamy Meets PM Modi at Blair House, Talks Strengthen India-US Partnership
Vivek Ramaswamy praised his "great meeting" with Prime Minister Modi, expressing hope for a "wonderful visit" to the US while discussing India-US ties, innovation, and biotechnology.

Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-origin entrepreneur and Republican leader, spoke about his “great meeting” with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Blair House. He described it as a "pleasure and honor" to welcome Modi to the United States. Additionally, he expressed his hope that the Prime Minister would have a "wonderful visit."
"It was a pleasure and honour to welcome Prime Minister Modi here. Hope he has a wonderful visit and it was a great meeting," Ramaswamy told reporters after the meeting.

"Met Mr.@VivekGRamaswamy and his father-in-law in Washington DC. We talked about diverse issues including innovation, culture and more." Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter)

Key Discussions Between Modi and Ramaswamy

During their conversation, Prime Minister Modi focused on strengthening India-US relations, innovation, and biotechnology with Ramaswamy. According to Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, “PM @narendramodi met with @VivekGRamaswamy at Blair House today. They had insightful discussions on India-U.S. ties, innovation, biotechnology, and the role of entrepreneurship in shaping the future,” he posted on X.

Ramaswamy's Political Journey

Ramaswamy had previously run for president but later withdrew from the race. He gained attention for his bold debate performances. After ending his presidential bid, he threw his support behind Donald Trump, calling him the "best president of the 21st century."
Moreover, Ramaswamy co-led the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with Elon Musk but eventually stepped down due to reported differences with the Tesla CEO.

PM Modi’s Arrival in the US

Prime Minister Modi arrived in the US on Wednesday. He is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House later today. This marks his first visit to the US since President Trump began his second term. India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, along with other officials, greeted PM Modi at the airport.

Looking Ahead: Strengthening India-US Ties

Upon his arrival, PM Modi expressed his eagerness to meet President Trump and work towards building the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. In his departure statement, Modi mentioned that the visit would provide an opportunity to build on past successes and focus on strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
