With this win, India moved back to the top spot in the group.
India Post Massive Total After Strong Start
Namibia won the toss and invited India to bat first. Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan gave India a blazing start. Samson lost his wicket to Ben Shikongo in the second over. After that, Tilak Varma joined Kishan and kept up the momentum.
Ishan Kishan dominated the powerplay. He hit a boundary and four consecutive sixes in the final over of the powerplay. He reached his half-century in just 20 balls. India raced to 104/1 in seven overs. Kishan fell on the first ball of the eighth over.
Pandya and Dube Power India Past 200
India lost a few wickets in the middle overs. However, Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube built a crucial 81-run partnership. Their aggressive batting pushed India past the 200-run mark.
Hardik Pandya scored 52 runs off 28 balls. When he got out in the 19th over, India were 205/5. India then lost five wickets in the last two overs and finished at 209/9 in 20 overs.

Namibia Start Well but Collapse in Middle Overs
In reply, Louren Steenkamp and Jan Frylinck gave Namibia a strong start. They added 33 runs for the first wicket. Nicol Loftie-Eaton came in at No. 3 and added another quick 34 runs for the second wicket.
At that stage, Namibia looked steady. However, India struck back quickly.
Indian Bowlers Seal Dominant Win
Varun Chakaravarthy (3/7 in 2 overs) and Axar Patel (2/20 in 3 overs) broke the backbone of Namibia’s batting. Namibia slipped to 94/6 in 12.3 overs.
Hardik Pandya (2/21 in 4 overs) and Shivam Dube finished the job. Namibia were bowled out for 116 runs in 18.2 overs, with 10 balls remaining. They lost the match by 93 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Shivam Dube also picked up one wicket each. Louren Steenkamp remained the highest scorer for Namibia.
Brief Scorecard
India played well against Namibia. They showed their dominance in every department of the game. The only concern was the loss of five wickets in the last two overs. This must be a cause of worry for the team management. Otherwise, the bowlers and batters did their jobs well.
Varun Chakaravarthy is improving day by day, and Axar Patel supported him well. Namibia started the chase strongly but could not maintain control. They struggled against spin and lost momentum. Namibia needs to work hard on both their batting and bowling to achieve better results. Get ready for more action.
