A medical transport helicopter crashed in Mississippi, adding to a series of recent aviation accidents in North America.

A medical transport helicopter crashed in Mississippi on Monday, officials confirmed. The helicopter carried a pilot and two hospital workers. Notably, the AirCare helicopter was not transporting any patients when it crashed in Madison County, north of Jackson. Meanwhile, the University of Mississippi Medical Center confirmed the incident but did not share details about injuries or fatalities.

Authorities Begin Investigation

Furthermore, local station WAPT reported that at least one person died in the crash. Shortly after, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sent authorities to investigate the site and determine the cause of the accident.

Recent Surge in Aviation Accidents

Interestingly, this crash adds to a series of aviation accidents in North America. In the past month, four major incidents have occurred.

For instance, a Delta Airlines jet flipped onto its roof while landing in Toronto. Fortunately, authorities responded quickly, preventing further casualties.

Additionally, a commuter plane in Alaska crashed, resulting in multiple fatalities. Investigators are still analyzing the cause of the accident.

Private Jet Crash in Arizona

Just last week, a private jet owned by Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil veered off a runway in Arizona. Consequently, the jet collided with a business aircraft, killing one of its two pilots.

Medical Transport Jet Disaster in Philadelphia

Moreover, on January 31, a medical transport jet crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood. The aircraft carried a child patient, her mother, and four others. As a result, the crash triggered an explosion, setting multiple homes on fire. Tragically, all seven passengers died, and 19 others suffered injuries.

Authorities Raise Safety Concerns

As a result of these repeated incidents, aviation authorities have launched multiple investigations. The recent accidents have raised serious concerns about flight safety and the need for stricter regulations.
