Homes of LeT Terrorists Linked to Pahalgam Attack Blown Up in Jammu and Kashmir
Explosions destroy the homes of two suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, linked to the recent Pahalgam attack.

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir were searching the homes of two suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists when powerful explosions tore through the properties, completely destroying them. The operation targeted Adil Hussain Thokar and Asif Sheikh, both suspected of terrorism. During the raid, explosives planted by the suspects inside their homes detonated, causing severe damage and leveling both houses.

Involvement in the Pahalgam Attack

Adil Hussain Thokar, from Anantnag district in South Kashmir, is believed to have played a key role in planning and executing the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this week. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, was a significant act of violence. Thokar is considered central to its execution. Asif Sheikh, a resident of Tral in Pulwama district, is suspected of aiding Thokar in the attack’s planning.

Conflicting Reports on the Number of Destroyed Homes

There were conflicting reports about the extent of the destruction. Local authorities confirmed that Asif Sheikh’s house was completely destroyed. However, PTI reported that both Sheikh’s and Thokar’s homes were leveled. This discrepancy adds to the complexity of the situation. It also highlights the dangerous tactics terrorists use, such as rigging their homes with explosives. These tactics aim to evade capture and target security personnel during raids.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks faced by security forces. Terrorists frequently use explosives to disrupt operations, complicating an already tense security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
