Kerala Blasters FC triumphed 3-2 over Odisha FC in the Indian Super League 2024-25. The match was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Monday. As a result, the Blasters remain unbeaten in their last 7 games, with 5 wins and 2 draws. Meanwhile, Odisha FC's winless streak has extended to four matches.

Odisha FC Takes Early Lead

The match started with Odisha FC taking the lead in the 4th minute. Dori’s header set up Jerry Mawihmingthanga, who controlled the ball and shot it into the bottom right corner, giving Odisha a 1-0 advantage.

Blasters’ Fightback

However, Kerala Blasters quickly responded. In the 36th minute, Kwame Peprah had a chance after a pass from Noah Sadaoui, but Odisha’s defense blocked his shot. Despite this, the Blasters continued to press forward. Then, in the 60th minute, Kerala Blasters found the equalizer. Korou Singh made a perfect pass to Peprah, who outpaced the defenders and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner, making it 1-1.

Blasters Take the Lead

As the match progressed, the Blasters pushed ahead in the 73rd minute. Adrian Luna crossed the ball to Noah Sadaoui, who then passed it to Jesus Jimenez. Jimenez finished with a shot into the top center of the net, putting Kerala 2-1 ahead.

Odisha FC Responds

Odisha FC, however, didn’t give up. In the 80th minute, Dori scored off a rebound, leveling the score at 2-2. Earlier, Diego Mauricio’s free-kick had been saved, and Saviour Gama’s follow-up shot was also denied by Kerala’s defense.

Kerala Seizes Advantage

In the 83rd minute, Odisha’s Carlos Delgado was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving Kerala with a one-man advantage. Taking full advantage of the extra player, Kerala Blasters continued their attack. In injury time, Noah received a pass from Vibin Mohanan and fired a shot from a tight angle. The ball deflected into the bottom right corner, securing a 3-2 victory for Kerala.

Key Player: Noah Sadaoui

Noah Sadaoui was undoubtedly the key player of the match. He completed 26 passes out of 29 attempts, scored a goal, assisted another, and also contributed defensively with a clearance and two tackles.
