S. Jaishankar, India's Minister for External Affairs, held important discussions with foreign ministers from Austria, Romania, Denmark, Mongolia, and Argentina on Saturday. These meetings focused on trade, mobility, and security challenges.
Meeting with Norway's Finance Minister
To begin with, Jaishankar met with Jens Stoltenberg, Norway’s Finance Minister. He described their conversation as “a useful exchange on the evolving global security architecture.”

Discussions with Austria, Romania, and Denmark
Next, Jaishankar praised the insights shared by Austria’s Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg, calling their talks valuable. They discussed advancing cooperation between the two nations. Moreover, Jaishankar met with Romania’s Foreign Minister, Emil Hurezeanu, where they focused on expanding trade, connectivity, and mobility.

In addition, Jaishankar had a “warm conversation” with Mongolia's Foreign Minister, Battsetseg Batmunkh. They explored ways to deepen India-Mongolia cooperation, especially in culture, business, and technology.

Ukraine Conflict and Bilateral Relations
Later, Jaishankar met with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha. They discussed ongoing efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict and explored ways to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation.

Meeting with Bavarian Prime Minister
Following that, Jaishankar met Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder. They discussed economic and technological cooperation between the two nations. Jaishankar expressed his anticipation of hosting Söder in India soon.

Security Challenges and Global Engagement
Additionally, Jaishankar participated in a panel at the Ananta Aspen Centre. He shared India’s perspectives on security challenges, regional strategies, and global engagement. Lastly, Jaishankar met with Germany’s Defence Minister, Boris Pistorius, to discuss bilateral cooperation and the ongoing Ukraine crisis.
