Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking on Lex Fridman’s podcast, emphasized that no technology can surpass human creativity and imagination. According to PM Modi, AI forces people to rethink what it truly means to be human. He explained that since AI challenges how people view work, it pushes them to reflect on their unique abilities. However, human imagination remains the key.
"I believe that with AI, humans are now being forced to reflect on what it truly means to be human. This is the real power of AI. Because of the way AI functions, it has challenged how we perceive work itself. But human imagination is the fuel," as he said.
Furthermore, he acknowledged AI's ability to create new things and believed that it may achieve even more in the future. Nevertheless, he firmly stated that no technology can replace the limitless creativity of the human mind.
Humans Always Adapt to Technology
PM Modi pointed out that humans have always used technology to their advantage. In fact, he dismissed fears that AI could take over human abilities. Instead, he emphasized that every time technology evolves, people learn, adapt, and stay ahead.
India’s Role in AI
While discussing AI’s global growth, PM Modi stressed India’s crucial role. He confidently stated that global AI progress would remain incomplete without India.
"I'm making this statement very responsibly," he said. Notably, he repeated his stance from the AI summit in France, where he called for global cooperation. "I believe AI development is fundamentally a collaboration," he added.
