Melania Trump’s ‘Wedding Dress’ Listed on eBay – But Is It Real?
An eBay seller claims to own Melania Trump’s wedding dress, but doubts surround its authenticity.

A seller on eBay has listed a wedding dress, claiming it once belonged to Melania Trump. The starting price is $45,000, but the final amount could be higher. The seller, Svjabc1, stated that she wore the gown at her own wedding in 2010 after purchasing it for $70,000. However, a source told WWD that the original Dior dress, designed by John Galliano, remains at Mar-a-Lago.

eBay Listing Details

The listing describes the dress as a custom Christian Dior gown made for Melania Trump’s 2005 wedding to Donald Trump. It features hand-sewn Swarovski crystals and a 13-foot train. The seller explained that she had to alter the dress since Melania was a size 0-2, while she wore a size 4-6. Moreover, she detailed the modifications, stating, “I added a new layer of satin to the bottom of the dress and a few more embroidery pieces on the top. Plus, a new layer of fabric was added to the back and straps, as my chest is much bigger than Melania’s.”

Authenticity in Question

However, doubts remain about the dress’s authenticity. The seller included images of Melania wearing the gown alongside pictures of the dress she claims to own. Yet, the listing lacks a certificate of authentication. Currently, 143 people are watching the listing. According to a 2005 Vogue article, Melania’s wedding dress was crafted from 300 feet of fabric and adorned with over 1,500 crystal rhinestones and pearls. Therefore, whether the eBay dress is authentic remains uncertain.
