Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bikaner district in Rajasthan on Thursday. During the visit, he inaugurated the redeveloped Deshnok Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Moreover, he laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth more than ₹26,000 crore.
PM Modi Offers Prayers, Then Addresses Public Rally
Before the event, PM Modi visited the famous Karni Mata temple in Deshnoke. After offering prayers, he addressed a large gathering in Palana village.
He told the crowd, “Today, I have come among you after seeking blessings from Karni Mata. By her grace, our resolution of creating Viksit Bharat becomes even stronger. Our country’s roads should be modern, our country’s airports should be modern, our railways and railway stations should be modern…For this, unprecedented work has been done at a rapid pace over the last 11 years."
Furthermore, he highlighted the government’s focus on modern infrastructure. He said that airports, railways, and highways are all getting a new look.
“In order to make India develop, huge efforts are going on to build modern infrastructure in the country. Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi — this mantra is being seen at the Amrit Bharat Railway Stations. Today, India modernising its train network; Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, Namo Bharat trains reflect new speed and progress."
Rajasthan CM Praises PM’s Visit
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his excitement about PM Modi’s visit. He said that the people of Bikaner were enthusiastic and proud.
He added that the Prime Minister would launch 104 redeveloped railway stations from Rajasthan and would also announce several new state projects.
“After Operation Sindoor, there is enthusiasm among the people in this border district of Rajasthan. The Prime Minister will be inaugurating 104 stations for the country from here. Along with that, many schemes of Rajasthan will also be inaugurated here. He is coming to Rajasthan on his first visit after Operation Sindoor. We are fortunate. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people,” the Chief Minister added.
Combining Growth with Heritage
Clearly, the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme focuses on both development and tradition. While it modernizes railway stations, it also preserves the cultural identity of the region.
