Home Minister Amit Shah made a significant announcement in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. He revealed that the three Pakistani terrorists responsible for the deadly bus attack in Pahalgam had been killed. The security forces carried out this successful mission Operation Mahadev on July 28.
Killers of 26 pilgrims brought to justice
During the session, Shah recalled the shocking incident that took place in April. Three Pakistani terrorists had opened fire on a bus carrying Hindu pilgrims in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack claimed 26 lives and triggered widespread anger across the country.
“These were the same terrorists who killed 26 innocent people,” Shah told the House. He added, “On July 28, during Operation Mahadev, our security forces eliminated all three of them.”
Strong message against terrorism
Shah said Operation Mahadev reflects India’s firm stance against terrorism. He applauded the forces for acting swiftly and bravely. He said, “This is the new India. We will find terrorists, even across the border, and punish them.”
Announcement made during Operation Sindoor debate
The Home Minister made this declaration while participating in a discussion on Operation Sindoor, another anti-terror campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. He used the opportunity to show how India’s security forces are now more capable of responding to threats with speed and precision. Following Shah’s statement, several Members of Parliament expressed support and praised the forces for avenging the Pahalgam attack.
