Amit Shah Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi at Lalbaugcha Raja with Family
Amit Shah visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja with his family during Ganesh Chaturthi, offered prayers, and met state BJP leaders.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati on Saturday with his family. He offered prayers as part of the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Moreover, he joined thousands of devotees in the tradition of ‘darshan’ and sought blessings from the Ganesh idol.

Meeting with State Leaders

Earlier, Shah met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and other state BJP leaders. He arrived in Mumbai on Friday night and met Shinde at the Sahyadri Guest House in South Mumbai. During this meeting, he also interacted with RSS joint general secretary Atul Limaye, Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan, and newly appointed Mumbai BJP chief Ameet Satam, according to PTI.

Visit to CM Fadnavis’ Residence

After meeting state leaders, Shah visited Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ official residence, Varsha. Following this, he went to the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal with his family. In videos from the event, Shah is seen touching the feet of Lord Ganesha and offering flowers. Party members and family accompanied him during the rituals. Furthermore, he is scheduled to visit Ganesh pandals in Bandra West and Andheri East later during the festival.

Sharing the Celebration

Shah posted pictures from his visit on X, showing him with CM Fadnavis and Deputy CM Shinde. He highlighted the spirit of devotion and the joy of the festival.

Ganeshotsav Festivities Across India

Ganeshotsav began on August 27 with Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayak Chaturthi. The festival celebrates Lord Ganesha. Among all pandals, Lalbaugcha Raja is one of the most visited in India. Consequently, politicians, celebrities, and thousands of devotees visit every year to seek blessings.
