Kajol has carved her own path in Bollywood, an industry known for its focus on appearances. While many celebrities face relentless trolling, Kajol believes she has been fortunate to escape harsh judgment from the public.

Speaking to News18, she reflected on her journey and the unwavering love she has received over the years. “I’ve fallen down, tripped, fired people, yelled, screamed, cried, gotten pregnant, become fat, become thin, cut my hair – basically anything that a person can do. And still I’m loved,” Kajol said.

She added, “The way people look at me is with a lot of love. They’re okay with me. They like me the way I am. That’s why I say that I’m probably one of the lucky ones, who’s loved but not judged as much.”

Addressing Her Reputation with Paparazzi

Kajol also spoke about her occasional clashes with the paparazzi and how she handles being labeled as rude. “I actually have got a reputation to protect (laughs)! It’s something that sells for them. Main kisi aur ke pet pe kyun laat maaru? (Why should I kick away someone else’s livelihood?)” she said.

“If you’re making money out of these clips, then go ahead and make money. What else do I say?”

Her candid remark highlights how she balances her privacy with the media’s need for content.

Incident at The Trial Season 2 Trailer Launch

Recently, Kajol faced body-shaming comments online after an incident during the trailer launch of The Trial Season 2. She wore a body-hugging short dress, and a paparazzo zoomed in on her body while covering the event.

TV host Mini Mathur came to Kajol’s defense on social media, criticizing the intrusive behavior. “How dare you zoom in on her body? She doesn’t owe you guys eternal youth. You don’t get to decide how she should look,” Mini wrote, calling out the unfair scrutiny.

Kajol’s Upcoming Projects

Kajol is set to return as lawyer Noyonika Sengupta in The Trial Season 2. The series features Jisshu Sengupta, Alyy Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Kubbra Sait, Gaurav Pandey, and Myra Singh in key roles.

It will premiere on September 19 on JioHotstar. Besides this, Kajol will also appear in Maharagni: Queens of Queens, adding another exciting project to her lineup.
