Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Takes a Sip, Refutes Kejriwal’s ‘Poison in Yamuna’ Claim
Haryana CM Nayab Saini dismissed Arvind Kejriwal’s claim that the BJP poisoned Yamuna water. To prove his point, he drank water from the river and called Kejriwal’s statement a lie

Saini Challenges Kejriwal’s Allegations

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini took a symbolic sip of Yamuna water in Delhi's Palla village on Wednesday. He aimed to counter AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s serious accusation that the BJP had “poisoned” the river. Condemning Kejriwal’s remarks, Saini called the allegations baseless and politically motivated. He accused the AAP leader of spreading fear for electoral gains.

‘No Poison Found in Yamuna’

Standing on the riverbank, Saini strongly denied Kejriwal’s claims. “Arvind Kejriwal’s statement was meant to mislead people for political advantage. Today, I came to the Yamuna and drank its water. He alleged that the BJP government poisoned the river and planned mass genocide. However, water resource authorities tested samples and found no poison. Kejriwal has always lied,” Saini declared.

Kejriwal’s Allegations Trigger Political Storm

The controversy began when Kejriwal, while campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections, accused Haryana’s BJP-led government of polluting the Yamuna. He claimed they were dumping industrial waste into the river and endangering lives. Delhi CM Atishi also joined the attack, stating that the BJP was deliberately disrupting Delhi’s water supply ahead of the February 5 elections.

Haryana Government Plans Legal Action

Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel announced legal action against Kejriwal over his “poison in Yamuna” remark. “Kejriwal’s irresponsible statement has created unnecessary panic. The Haryana government will file a case against him in Sonipat’s CJM Court under the Disaster Management Act’s Sections 2(D) and 54,” Goel told reporters.

Election Season Heats Up

With the Delhi Assembly polls approaching, the BJP and AAP continue their heated exchanges. As the political battle intensifies, accusations and counter-accusations are shaping the narrative. The upcoming days will reveal the impact of this controversy on voters.
