Jessie J has revealed her sixth studio album, Don’t Tease Me with a Good Time. She announced the news on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, September 17. The album will release on Friday, November 28.
Moreover, the record will feature songs like No Secret, Believe in Magic, And the Award Goes To, and Living My Best Life. Fans can already pre-order the album on CD and vinyl. Jessie hinted, “There’s some signed stuff and there’s lots of things happening.”
Significantly, this announcement marks Jessie’s return to music after undergoing breast cancer surgery.
Jessie Delays Tours Due to Surgery
Earlier, Jessie J postponed her UK and European Acoustic Tour and canceled her US shows after learning about her breast cancer diagnosis.
In a press release on August 28, she said, “Unfortunately, I have to have a second operation, nothing too bad, but it has to be done before the end of this year. This comes in the middle of the tour I had planned. I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad, but I need to get better, I need to heal.”
As a result, her UK and European tour dates will now take place in April 2026. Furthermore, US ticket holders will automatically receive refunds.
Jessie Shares Her Cancer Journey
In June, Jessie revealed her diagnosis on social media. She discovered it before releasing her single No Secrets in April.
She wrote, “I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period,” adding, “I will be gone for a little while after Summertime Ball to have my surgery.”
Later, weeks after her surgery, she updated fans again. She said, “I’m 7 weeks post breast cancer surgery. I’m still in the thick of recovery and my body is still finding its way. But I LOVE music and I LOVE my life and I want to LIVE in the moment.”
Jessie Returns to the Stage
On September 6, Jessie J returned to the stage at BBC Radio 2 In the Park in England. This was her first live performance since surgery. Importantly, it was also the first time her two-year-old son, Sky Safir, saw her perform. Jessie shares Sky with her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman.
While addressing the audience, Jessie said, “The last concert I performed, I had no idea what was going to go down, and I’m still, you know, in recovery phase, but I’m definitely not ready for Babins. I mean, I am, but my doctors are like ‘calm down, girl.’”
Afterward, she expressed deep gratitude to her fans. “I’m so thankful to be here. You have no idea how thankful I am to have all of you singing along all these years later. It really feels like I’m a little kid. Doing what I love all this time.”
Consequently, Jessie’s new album symbolizes both her personal triumph and professional comeback as she continues to heal and inspire fans worldwide.
