Meanwhile, Salman Khan is working on the final stages of his upcoming film Matrubhumi, which was earlier titled Battle of Galwan. According to reports, the team is currently reassessing the film after making several changes. They are working to ensure a smooth release, although no official authority, including the Ministry of Defence, the army, or the CBFC, has reviewed the film yet. The filmmakers have shifted the story’s focus toward family and relationships, turning it into a human drama while retaining some war elements. However, removing references to China and Galwan has created a key challenge regarding the central conflict.

The team initially planned to release the film in April 2026 but later postponed it due to major revisions. Although rumors suggested a May 2026 release, further changes have delayed it indefinitely. The makers have not yet announced a new release date.

Nayanthara will next appear in the romantic film High alongside Kavin. The makers recently released the teaser for the song “Kannakuzhiya” on April 21. Director Vishnu Edavan shared that he enjoys making cheerful films and drew inspiration from movies like Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Santosh Subramaniam. He wrote High specifically with Nayanthara in mind, and she agreed to join the project immediately after hearing the story. He also explained that the title High reflects the film’s core theme and kept it simple for broader appeal.

Fresh Pairing with Kavin

The director acknowledged that pairing Nayanthara with Kavin surprised many viewers. However, he emphasized that every character plays an important role, with their love story serving as the main highlight. Instead of pairing Nayanthara with a typical big star, the team intentionally chose a fresh and relatable face in Kavin, adding a unique charm to the film.
