Jamshedpur FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant ended their match in a 1-1 draw in the Indian Super League 2024-25 match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. Both teams fought hard, but ultimately, they had to settle for a point each.

To begin with, Mohun Bagan took the lead in the first half. Subhasish Bose scored after Tom Aldred’s header from Jason Cummings’ corner. Bose flicked the ball past Albino Gomes, giving Mohun Bagan an early advantage.

However, Jamshedpur FC equalised in the 60th minute. Stephen Eze made a brilliant run, beating several defenders. He shot into the bottom right corner, past Vishal Kaith, leveling the score.

First Half Action

In the first 15 minutes, both teams tested each other’s defenses. Mohun Bagan came close in the 17th minute. Jamie Maclaren’s shot was cleared by Eze, and shortly after, Liston’s attempt was blocked. Eventually, Subhasish Bose scored in the 25th minute. Later, Jason Cummings had another chance in the 36th minute, but Eze blocked it again. Before halftime, Maclaren’s shot was saved by Albino Gomes, keeping the score unchanged.

Second Half Changes

Following halftime, Khalid Jamil made several substitutions. He brought in Javier Siverio, Mobashir Rahman, and Seiminlen Doungel. As a result, Jamshedpur played more directly. Meanwhile, Jose Molina responded by bringing on Greg Stewart for Cummings. Later, Rei Tachikawa and Dimitri Petratos entered to strengthen the midfield and attack.

Late Chances

In the final minutes, both teams pushed for a winner. Mohun Bagan almost scored when Petratos set up Liston. However, Albino Gomes tipped the shot over the bar. Rodriguez’s header from a set-piece also went just wide.

Key Performer

Stephen Eze was Jamshedpur FC’s standout player. He scored the equaliser and put in a strong defensive performance with three tackles, six clearances, and one interception. Notably, he completed 27 of 35 passes. Looking ahead, Jamshedpur FC will play Hyderabad FC on January 23. Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan Super Giant will face Chennaiyin FC on January 21.
