Malaysia crushed Chinese Taipei 15-0 in the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, sealing their spot at the top of Pool B with a flawless performance.

Malaysia put on a stunning show of attacking hockey at the Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir, hammering Chinese Taipei 15-0 in their Pool B match. The emphatic win highlighted their scoring strength and pushed them to the top of the group with an unbeaten record.

Goal Rush Led by Anuar and Hamsani

Malaysia dominated from the start, scoring freely through different players. Akhimullah Anuar was the star performer, netting five goals at the 10th, 20th, 29th, 45th, and 56th minutes. His brilliant finishing kept the pressure on Chinese Taipei throughout the game.

Ashran Hamsani also joined the scoring list, while Norsyafiq Sumantri struck a fine hat-trick with goals in the 20th, 40th, and 60th minutes. Abu Kamal Azrai, Andywalfian Effrynus, and Aiman Rozemi added to the tally, making the contest completely one-sided.

Malaysia Close in on Super 4

This victory means Malaysia now lead Pool B with three wins in three matches. Their consistency has almost secured them a place in the Super 4 stage. More importantly, their strong display sends a warning to other contenders that they are among the top favorites for the title.

Disappointment for Chinese Taipei

Chinese Taipei endured a miserable outing, failing to cope with Malaysia’s relentless attacks. Their poor scoring record in the group stage has left them with little chance of progressing further, ending their campaign on a low note.

Malaysia Show Their Strength

Malaysia’s clinical attack and team depth stood out in this clash. With multiple players contributing, the side proved they are not reliant on just one or two names. The commanding performance established them as one of the standout teams of the tournament.
